Íñigo Ucín and Manuel Baraza meet the press to discuss Ayesa Digital’s latest developments and future outlook

The company has a project backlog worth €1 billion and expects order intake to grow by around 10% by year-end.

The Chairman of Ayesa Digital, Íñigo Ucín, and the company’s CEO, Manuel Baraza, met with the press this morning for the first time since their respective appointments earlier this year. The meeting marked their official introduction to the media following the completion of the transaction that made the consortium comprising Indar Kartera, BBK Foundation, the Basque Government, Vital Foundation and Teknei the owner of the multinational technology company.

During the meeting, Ucín and Baraza reviewed the initial stages of Ayesa Digital’s new chapter, its current position and its future outlook.

Ayesa Digital is a global technology services company and one of Spain’s five leading IT firms. It employs nearly 11,000 professionals and operates three technology hubs in the Basque Country, Madrid and Andalusia. The company also has a presence in other regions of Spain and internationally, with operations in a total of 10 countries across Europe and the Americas. This footprint combines close customer proximity with the ability to deliver strategic transformation projects.

Technology for mission-critical services

The company designs, integrates and operates digital platforms for large corporations and public administrations, with a particular focus on mission-critical services — those whose disruption could jeopardise an organisation’s operational continuity or the delivery of essential services.

Its activities span sectors including healthcare, water, energy, banking, industry and telecommunications.

Mission-critical systems include, for example, hospital information systems, platforms supporting water and energy management, banking transaction processing systems, and applications that underpin industrial production. In these environments, technology availability, security and reliability are essential.

Innovation and investment in R&D are geared towards improving these services and safeguarding customers’ critical assets, leveraging capabilities in artificial intelligence (AI), data, cloud computing and cybersecurity.

Growth and business visibility

Ayesa Digital closed 2025 with revenue of approximately €580 million, up 9% on 2024. The company expects to exceed these figures in 2026, which would make it the best year in its history.

Order intake reached €626 million in 2025. For 2026, the company expects to close the year with order intake of around €690 million, representing an increase of approximately 10% compared with 2025.

The company currently has a project backlog worth approximately €1 billion, providing visibility into business activity over the coming years.

Recognition and enhanced capabilities

In 2026, Ayesa Digital was recognised as the highest-rated IT services provider by customers, according to an independent report by Eraneos and Whitelane Research. The company is also ranked among the best companies to work for in Spain.

More recently, Ayesa Digital acquired Kuik, a company specialising in software and applied AI. Based in Rentería (Gipuzkoa), Kuik has 15 years of experience, annual revenue of approximately €4.5 million and a team of 70 professionals. Its addition will bring specialised talent and expertise in real-world use cases. Integration will combine these capabilities with Ayesa Digital’s scale and access to major corporate accounts.
