Ayesa Digital and INCIBE join forces to address the next generation of cyberattacks
Two industrial cybersecurity R&D projects integrating AI and pioneering quantum technologies have been successfully completed to protect critical infrastructure against emerging digital threats.
Ayesa Digital and the Spanish National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE) have successfully completed two cutting-edge R&D projects aimed at strengthening defences against the next generation of cyberattacks. The projects, Challenge 02 SOC-IA and Challenge 29, integrate Artificial Intelligence and pioneering quantum technologies to enhance the protection of critical infrastructure.
Through these initiatives, Ayesa Digital and INCIBE have established a benchmark framework for the transition towards next-generation industrial cybersecurity solutions, contributing to stronger technological sovereignty and helping strategic sectors prepare for the evolving landscape of digital threats.
Challenge 02 SOC-IA delivers an advanced solution for securing communications and data in industrial environments. The project addresses one of the most pressing challenges in cybersecurity today: preparing critical infrastructure for the impact that quantum computing is expected to have on conventional cryptographic systems. To this end, it has developed innovative technologies that safeguard communications, secure the exchange of sensitive information, and provide enhanced monitoring capabilities.
A key differentiator of the project is its hybrid approach, which combines quantum and post-quantum technologies. This enables the development of more resilient architectures capable of addressing both current cybersecurity risks and the future challenges posed by quantum computing.
Meanwhile, Challenge 29 has developed an advanced cybersecurity platform that incorporates pioneering Artificial Intelligence methodologies to protect critical infrastructure. The platform includes an environment for simulating different types of cyberattacks and validating new defence solutions, software for anomaly detection and data cleansing, as well as AI algorithms for detecting cyberattacks targeting industrial systems, among other capabilities.
The project was successfully validated in a real production environment with the participation of companies including SMART PM, Egile and Cyber Surgery. The validation confirmed that the platform meets the expected performance objectives while complying with the highest standards of quality, reliability and operational performance.
